The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. During your one day tour, you will learn Rabat’s history and enjoy its beautiful domes, minarets, wide avenues, and green spaces. Your guide will escort you on a walk around the picturesque Almohad northern walls of the Udayas Kasbah. The kasbah was built to protect the city and is enclosed by ramparts dating from the Almohad period. Visit Bab Oudaïa, a monumental gate and example of Almohad military architecture. See the Udayas Museum, Moulay Ismaïl’s palace exhibiting collections of Moroccan folk art. Before moving on to city medina, relax in the Moorish style Andalusian garden. Walk the famous and lively Rue des Consuls where foreign consuls were once obliged to live. After lunch, continue to the Hassan tower, which stands on the hill overlooking the Wadi Bou Regreg. It is a gigantic mosque, emblematic of Rabat and famous for its unfinished minaret where storks nest. Next door, visit the beautiful Mausoleum of Mohammed V decorated with stained glass windows, white marble, and a wrought-iron entryway with a stairway leading to an impressive dome. Now we Move To the necropolis of Chellah, where so many vestiges of the Roman town of Sale. Visit the Archaeological Museum, which houses the most extensive collection of archeological artifacts, and the unbelievably beautiful Necropolis at Chellah. Continue our visit to the majestic Royal Palace is located in the heart of Rabat and is open to the public. From the outside, it is an imposing building and one can also discover the beauty of the palace exploring inside. In front of the Royal Palace is the personal mosque of the King. The building is a fine example of Islamic architecture that was built in 1864 and is surrounded by a wall with three gates well-protected access. Visitors can also visit the area known as the Mechouar, where the king led the Friday prayers and green and beautiful gardens surrounding the palace. The street leading to the main square and the palace entrance is lined with well-cared fortress. Also on the list is Ville Nouvelle ( New city ). The new town has wide boulevards, open green spaces, and avenues lined with residential blocks, a railroad, the Bank of Morocco, Musée de la Poste, and the cathedral Saint-Pierre. Returning Back To Fes and driving you to your Riad/Hotel.

Day Trip From Fes To Chefchaouen

Our day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen shall be after breakfast in your Riad/Hotel around 8 AM, we will start your day trip towards Chefchaouen “The Bleu City” which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction. It is as well a welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains south of the Mediterranean coastline in The Northwest of Morocco, founded by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa. If you are looking for a special experience, take this tour to Chefchaouen and wander through the narrow streets lined with blue houses,  you will feel like walking in the sky. Chefchaouen is bounded by forests, the most fantastic valleys,  picturesque peaks, and gorges. Upon arrival at the small city, learn about authentic local handicraft witch you cannot find in other cities, such as woven blankets, wool garments, and hats ornamented with glorious colored threads. Marvel at the great monuments like Plaza Uta Elhammam which is lined with restaurants and coffee bars. This is a peaceful place to enjoy and watch the world go by. You can also see the kasbah, a greatly restored walled fortress, that now has a beautiful garden, and the Grande Mosque, built in the fifteenth century by the son of the city’s founder, Ali ben Rachid as well as other amazing monuments. Your guide will explain to you about Moroccan culture and history and he will be glad to answer all questions you might have. Your tour finishes back at the hotel/Riad in Fez. End of a day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen.

Exploring Fes Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will begin the tour of the medina with a local guide, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch, you will eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, you will complete the tour. In the late afternoon, we will take you to a panoramic view in which you can see all the old town of Fes and enjoy the sunset from the top. Return to your Riad in the evening.

Day Trip from Fes to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, and Meknes

Our day trip to Volubilis and Meknes shall be from your accommodations in Fes at 9:00 am. Then, head out to explore the ancient imperial city of Meknes, known as the “Versailles of Morocco”. See historical sites such as the impressive ramparts, monumental gates, and the Mausoleum Moulay Ismail. At its peak of glory, Meknes had over 50 palaces, 20 doors, and a city wall that measured around 45km. After we head off to visit Volubilis, an area consisting of impressive and well-preserved Roman ruins, not to mention spectacular mosaics. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important Roman sites in North Africa. Volubilis is a partly excavated Roman city in Morocco situated near Meknes. Built-in a fertile agricultural area, it was developed from the 3rd century BC onwards as a Phoenician/Carthaginian settlement. It grew rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century AD onwards and expanded to cover about 40 hectares (100 acres) with a 2.6 km (1.6 mi) circuit of walls. The city gained a number of major public buildings in the 2nd century, including a basilica, temple, and triumphal arch. Its prosperity, which was derived principally from olive growing, prompted the construction of many fine town-houses with large mosaic floors. After, we go to the holy city of Moulay Idriss Zarhoun, perched dramatically against the slope of Mount Zerhon, and immerse ourselves in the dramatic landscape of Morocco. Break for lunch whenever you prefer and at the end of your tour, head back to your Riad or Hotel in Fez. End of a day trip from Fes to Volubilis, Moulay Driss Zarhoun, and Meknes.

Inshallah sempre e comunque.

My Africa 🌍🇲🇦 Imagine a place where the sky does not overlook you, but crosses you, where you cannot breathe the air, but savor it, where time passes and does not run as we are used to. A place where people greet you, even if they don't know you, and where the nervous system settles down and doesn't get nervous. Where everything is true, even the less beautiful things, because here everything is life. This is what Morocco was for me. The organization was impeccable, Mubarak was available from the first telephone contact, he tried to support and satisfy our every need. We appreciated his kindness, friendliness, precision and attention so that everything was perfect and we were happy (the fresh water before each trip, the break with the oranges peeled by him) because his motto is 'If you're happy, I 'I'm happy too'. We had the opportunity to do a 5-day tour of the imperial cities from Marrakech, passing through Casablanca, Rabat, Meckness and Volubilis, finishing our tour in Fes. Mubarak relied on two guides who spoke Italian (Abdul and Yusef) who were super smart, friendly and helpful. They told us about the beauty, culture and history of this magnificent land. Having had a guide in Marrakech and Fes allowed us to skip several queues at the main monuments and to visit a ceramics cooperative in Fes. The feeling you get after this trip is what many call 'The sickness of Africa', it is that nostalgia that remains with you after visiting Africa and you feel nothing but the desire to return. Inshallah 🧿

A magical experience The Morocco experience turned out to be a real surprise! We trusted and relied on our driver Ally who pampered us and guided us around the Moroccan cities truly thinking of everything! Hotels and riads selected and chosen by them proved to live up to our expectations! The desert experience was nothing short of magical. Thanks to Ally we did not feel the weight and tiredness of the distances traveled during these 6 days in which we visited six different cities. We were able to experience this trip without thinking about anything other than having fun and enjoying the Moroccan beauties! The proposed tour is absolutely recommended, not very touristy and very fascinating!

Morocco in the heart Morocco will have a special place in our heart thanks to Lhoucine, our driver. We chose the 4-day tour proposed by Magic Sahara tours to discover the south of Morocco. We crossed the High Atlas, passing through Berber villages, the Dades Gorges, the Rose Valley and enjoyed beautiful landscapes and sunsets. The facilities that hosted us were above expectations, very beautiful and with attention to every detail. The Merzouga desert experience deserves a special mention. We were welcomed by Youssef and his friends as if we were at home, in a very intimate place, and we discovered a starry sky never seen before, sang and talked around the fire. The people who live in the desert and in the villages that surround it are fantastic and friendly people, who want to tell their stories and convey the best of their culture. There have certainly been tourist stops, in any case very beautiful, but the added value of staying with a local guide is that of being able to also enjoy authentic places, untouched by mass tourism (such as Rissani and its market) and being able to get to know the local people. What about our driver, Lhoucine is a nice, cheerful and professional person, attentive to our needs. We thank Magic Sahara tours and highly recommend it to discover Morocco. Yallah Yallah see you next trip!

Merzouga desert tour and Dades and Todra gorges A highly trained guide, attentive to our every need, engaging and friendly, who showed us tourist and non-touristy places, always giving us gems about the local culture, history and curiosities of the Amazigh people. We visited the Dades and Todra gorges, the Ait-Ben-Haddou kasbah, and then went to see the desert in Merzouga and also visited an oasis in the middle of the desert. “We are not barbarians, we are Berbers: Amazigh means free people”.
