Your guide will escort you on a walk around the picturesque Almohad northern walls of the Udayas Kasbah. See the Udayas Museum, Moulay Ismaïl’s palace exhibiting collections of Moroccan folk art. Before moving on to city medina, relax in the Moorish style Andalusian garden. Walk the famous and lively Rue des Consuls where foreign consuls were once obliged to live. After lunch, continue to the Hassan tower, which stands on the hill overlooking the Wadi Bou Regreg. It is a gigantic mosque, emblematic of Rabat and famous for its unfinished minaret where storks nest. Next door, visit the beautiful Mausoleum of Mohammed V decorated with stained glass windows, white marble, and a wrought-iron entryway with a stairway leading to an impressive dome. Now we Move To the necropolis of Chellah, where so many vestiges of the Roman town of Sale. Visit the Archaeological Museum, which houses the most extensive collection of archeological artifacts, and the unbelievably beautiful Necropolis at Chellah. Continue our visit to the majestic Royal Palace is located in the heart of Rabat and is open to the public. From the outside, it is an imposing building and one can also discover the beauty of the palace exploring inside. In front of the Royal Palace is the personal mosque of the King. The building is a fine example of Islamic architecture that was built in 1864 and is surrounded by a wall with three gates well-protected access. Visitors can also visit the area known as the Mechouar, where the king led the Friday prayers and green and beautiful gardens surrounding the palace. The street leading to the main square and the palace entrance is lined with well-cared fortress. Also on the list is Ville Nouvelle ( New city ). The new town has wide boulevards, open green spaces, and avenues lined with residential blocks, a railroad, the Bank of Morocco, Musée de la Poste, and the cathedral Saint-Pierre. Returning Back To Fes and driving you to your Riad/Hotel.

Day Trip From Fes To Chefchaouen

Our day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen shall be after breakfast in your Riad/Hotel around 8 AM, we will start your day trip towards Chefchaouen “The Bleu City” which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction. It is as well a welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains south of the Mediterranean coastline in The Northwest of Morocco, founded by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa. If you are looking for a special experience, take this tour to Chefchaouen and wander through the narrow streets lined with blue houses,  you will feel like walking in the sky. Chefchaouen is bounded by forests, the most fantastic valleys,  picturesque peaks, and gorges. Upon arrival at the small city, learn about authentic local handicraft witch you cannot find in other cities, such as woven blankets, wool garments, and hats ornamented with glorious colored threads. Marvel at the great monuments like Plaza Uta Elhammam which is lined with restaurants and coffee bars. This is a peaceful place to enjoy and watch the world go by. You can also see the kasbah, a greatly restored walled fortress, that now has a beautiful garden, and the Grande Mosque, built in the fifteenth century by the son of the city’s founder, Ali ben Rachid as well as other amazing monuments. Your guide will explain to you about Moroccan culture and history and he will be glad to answer all questions you might have. Your tour finishes back at the hotel/Riad in Fez. End of a day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen.

Exploring Fes Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will begin the tour of the medina with a local guide, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch, you will eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, you will complete the tour. In the late afternoon, we will take you to a panoramic view in which you can see all the old town of Fes and enjoy the sunset from the top. Return to your Riad in the evening.

Day Trip from Fes to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, and Meknes

Our day trip to Volubilis and Meknes shall be from your accommodations in Fes at 9:00 am. Then, head out to explore the ancient imperial city of Meknes, known as the “Versailles of Morocco”. See historical sites such as the impressive ramparts, monumental gates, and the Mausoleum Moulay Ismail. At its peak of glory, Meknes had over 50 palaces, 20 doors, and a city wall that measured around 45km. After we head off to visit Volubilis, an area consisting of impressive and well-preserved Roman ruins, not to mention spectacular mosaics. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important Roman sites in North Africa. Volubilis is a partly excavated Roman city in Morocco situated near Meknes. Built-in a fertile agricultural area, it was developed from the 3rd century BC onwards as a Phoenician/Carthaginian settlement. It grew rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century AD onwards and expanded to cover about 40 hectares (100 acres) with a 2.6 km (1.6 mi) circuit of walls. The city gained a number of major public buildings in the 2nd century, including a basilica, temple, and triumphal arch. Its prosperity, which was derived principally from olive growing, prompted the construction of many fine town-houses with large mosaic floors. After, we go to the holy city of Moulay Idriss Zarhoun, perched dramatically against the slope of Mount Zerhon, and immerse ourselves in the dramatic landscape of Morocco. Break for lunch whenever you prefer and at the end of your tour, head back to your Riad or Hotel in Fez. End of a day trip from Fes to Volubilis, Moulay Driss Zarhoun, and Meknes.

Grandissimo Mbarak.

3 day Sahara tour My sister connected me with Magic Sahara Tours because Moubarak had been such an amazing guide during her stay in Morocco. And, after my experience, I could not agree more. Within a day of her connecting us, Moubarak made time to meet with me and share recommendations for getting the most out of the time I had left in Morocco. He took the time to find out what I was interested in and personalize my trip. I chose to do a three-day desert trip from Marrakech to Fes because I only had a couple days. The trip was absolutely stunning. Day one, Moubarak picked me up in Marrakech at my hostel. We headed out to the High Atlas Mountains, where we stopped at Tizi n'Tichka pass. The mountains were covered in fresh snow fall making the view even more incredible. Our next stop was Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. Moubarak took me on a tour of the kasbahs full of details about the history and current culture of the area. After Ait Ben Haddou, we stopped in Ouarzazate to see Taourirt Kasbah and have lunch at a local restaurant. The final leg of the first day took us through Roses Valley, and along the Dades River/Gorges lined with kasbahs to our riad.Day two, we continued our drive through Dades Gorges. We stopped for a bit to get a clear view of Tinghir Oasis on the way to Todra Gorge. The walk through the gorge was spectacular. The massive rock walls towering above you are breathtaking. After Todra Gorge, we stopped in Rissani for an amazing, vegan friendly, Berber pizza. The afternoon ended with the drive from Rissani to Merzouga desert where we met up with Zaid, who drove me out to the camp. The camp in Merzouga is beautiful and welcoming. There are a lot of nice seating areas outside, and the rooms are very cozy. After a walk into the sand dunes to watch the sunset, I was served a delightful meal of many salads, breads, and veggie tajin. Later in the evening, there was local music around the fire and plenty of star gazing.Day three, started with a magnificent sunrise and breakfast at the camp. The drive from Merzouga to Fes was full of more fantastic landscapes as we made our way through Ziz Valley, Aoufous Oasis, Tizi n'Talghmut pass, the Middle Atlas Mountains, and cedar forests. Upon arriving in Fes, Moubarak made sure I got settled into my riad and knew where to get a taxi to the train station before he left. The accommodations throughout the trip were super nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, and everyone went out of their way to provide many options for a vegan diet. All of the guides and staff on the trip were very kind and professional. They made sure that I was happy and had everything I could possibly want for the duration of my trip. Despite being on a trip alone in a new place, I felt at home and was very well taken care of. One of the main highlights of the trip was how much I learned during the process. From start to finish, Moubarak shared detailed information about the culture, history, current events, language, agriculture and nature of every place along the way. I cannot recommend a tour with Magic Sahara Tours enough. It is a truly unforgettable experience.

4 day Sahara tour My partner and I recently completed the 4 days Sahara tour from Marrakech to Fes and had a great experience from start to end. The initial booking and communication were done with M’barek who was always responsive throughout the entire process. Prior to arriving in Morocco we had several calls with him to discuss the itinerary and he answered any questions we had. On the first day of the tour we were picked up by Mohamed and Hamid who came to meet us at our riad which was very convenient as we were located within inside the Medina. We then met our actual guide (Hassan) and driver (Mo) in Ouarzazate who we spent our 4 days tour with. Throughout the 4 days Hassan and Mo made us feel comfortable, answering questions, taking pics, taking us to good food spots and having an overall enjoyable time exploring all the beautiful sites of Morocco before arriving to the desert. Our experience in the desert was definitely the highlight of the trip staying at the Camel Trip Luxury Camp where we brought in the New Year dancing with the local nomads. I would definitely recommend Magic Sahara Tours! Thanks to Hassan and Mo especially for making the experience worth the long hours of commute.
